You’re spot on about the vibe. It nails that bright, confident, slightly exaggerated optimism that defined so much of the ‘90s. And Alicia Silverstone’s performance is basically the blueprint for effortless cool. It’s funny how Clueless feels both like a time capsule and a timeless comedy. Even if you didn’t live through the fashion or the slang, it somehow still works. Totally a movie that rewards low expectations with big charm.

I haven’t seen many of the movies you mentioned. A few years ago out of curiosity I watched Clueless and liked it (I had seen some episodes of the TV show). Not a great movie but a good one. Considering my rather low expectations, I had a lot of fun with it. It’s a very stylisch, cool movie, Alicia Silverstone is fantastic to watch. It’s over the top but does it with charme and style. It’s a vibe. It captures the spirit of the 90s very well!
