Reboots and Remakes That Are Better Than the Original with Special Guest Katie Geilenkirch

Jamie and Milo are joined by Katie of the Retromade Podcast. They were all assigned the task of finding a modern reboot or remake that is better or as good as the 80s or 90s version. Or, finding a remake or reboot that was done in the 80s or 90s that is better than the previous version. It turns out one of these two tasks is easier than the other.

They also have a bit of a debate on the difference between a reboot, a remake, and a sequel.

Pedantic I know but The Thing From Another World was set in the arctic and The Thing was the Antarctic. And Carpenter specifically didn’t want females in the movie as he wanted to delve deep into male paranoia. The only female is the voice of the chess computer that MacReady calls a cheating .
